What are Short Links?
Short Links are shortened URLs that make your text messages shorter, cleaner, and easier to read. Instead of showing a long web address, you can use a short link like https://mybrand.txtcart.io/
Short Links:
Save character space in your SMS messages
Look more professional and branded
They're easier to read
Can be tracked to see how many people clicked them
Note: Short Links are currently only available for Flows and will be added to the Campaigns feature in a future update.
How to Update Your Short Link Subdomain
You can set up your Short Link subdomain in two places:
1. During Onboarding
When you first set up TxtCart, Step 2 will ask for your Short Link Subdomain
Enter your preferred subdomain (e.g., if you enter "mybrand", your links will look like
https://mybrand.txtcart.io/)Click Continue
2. In Account Settings

(Optional) Add or modify Link Parameters like utm_source and utm_medium for tracking
Click Add to insert the short link
Your short link will appear in your message
Click Save to save your message
That's it! Your customers will now receive a clean, short link in their text messages.
About Page Links
Page Links let you link to any page on your Shopify store - not just products.
What you can link to:
- Collections (e.g., collections/summer-sale)
- Blog posts (e.g., blogs/news/new-arrivals)
- About page (e.g., pages/about-us)
- Landing pages
- Home page (leave the path blank)
Note:
1. We pre-fill the main store link (you can't change it).
2. Just put the page path in (like collections/summer-sale).
3. If you leave it blank, it goes to the homepage.
Important:
Page Links only work for pages on your Shopify store. For external websites, use Custom Link instead.
About Product Link
Product Links let you link to a specific product in your store. This link is static and will always point to the same product.
About Discount Link
Discount Links apply an existing discount code automatically when customers click the link.
Note:
Discount codes must already exist in your Shopify Discounts section before you can use them.
About Abandoned Cart Link
Abandoned Cart Links take customers back to their specific abandoned cart with all their items still there. This link is automatically personalized for each customer.
Note:
The Abandoned Cart option will only appear when your Flow trigger is set to "Product Added to Cart" or in Abandoned Cart Flows.
