How do customers opt out?

Subscribers can unsubscribe (aka opt out) from your SMS list by simply replying "STOP" or "CANCEL" to any of your messages, which will prevent a customer from receiving new messages from your brand.

How can I unsubscribe one of my customers?

If you would like to unsubscribe a subscriber on their behalf, you have 3 ways to do so:

Via Account Settings:

  1. Click Account Details in the bottom-left corner of your TxtCart dashboard.

  2. Select Account Settings.

  3. Click Compliance Hub from the options.

  4. Locate the Remove a Subscriber field and enter the subscriber's phone number.

  5. Click the Opt Out button next to the phone number.

Via Subscribers Tab:

  1. Go to the Subscribers tab.

  2. Use the Search box to find the subscriber by name or phone number.

  3. Click the three-dot icon on the far right.

  4. Select Unsubscribe.

Via Conversations Tab: When a message has been sent to a subscriber, it will appear in your Conversations tab.

  1. Go to your Conversations tab.

  2. Select either the Flows or Campaigns sub-tab located above the search option.

  3. Use the Search option to find the subscriber's conversation.

  4. Click the Unsubscribe button on the right-side panel.

Once someone has opted-out, they will be automatically removed from your TxtCart subscriber list, so you will no longer be able to engage with them or export them on a list unless they opt in again.
